Killer Drugs

Between 2004 and 2010, drug corporations paid an astonishing $7 Billion (that’s billion with a “b”) in fines, penalties and lawsuits — but that’s a drop in the bucket for them.

The pharmaceutical industry moves from one dangerous drug to the next, so they can make massive profits.

Here’s a small selection from a big list of drugs the FDA is happy for you to use:
Avandia – killed 83,000 by heart attacks, until it was re-licensed to continue killing in February 2010.

Actos – heart failure and the BMJ states it increases the risk of bladder cancer by 83%.

Vioxx – 149,000 heart attacks, strokes, and deaths. But only 60,000 legal cases so far.

Prozac, Effexor, Paxil Suicidal behaviour. When a maniac commits a murder, its often these that drive them to it.

Zoloft and Lexapro Suicidal behaviour, and birth defects.

Beta Blockers, for high blood pressure, kill 10,000 a year in the UK, according to Forbes Magazine, the European Heart Journal, and WebMD.

Opiods have killed 194,000 since 1999; most notably, with 30% of the market, Purdue Pharma’s

OxyContin, which has made $31 billion in profits since 1996. Purdue pleaded guilty to criminal charges of misrepresentation and paid a mere $600 million in fines, but the immensely profitable gravy train rolls on unabated: people are still getting hopelessly addicted, and dying. It was approved by the FDA. Opiods have a place if patients are conned into painful chemotherapy, where they reduce pain. But they are prescribed like confetti for all pain, even backache.

Chemotherapy – poisons which kill up to 400,000 a year in the US, and maim hundreds of thousands. But at $50,000 a round, it makes over $100 billion a year for big pharma. There are a dozen better ways to treat cancer with no side effects, but the FDA are working on making safe treatments illegal, to protect big pharma profits.

Thalidomide You’ll be pleased to know they’ve approved the re-licensing of thalidomide for use. You’ve heard of the babies born with appalling birth defects, missing arms and legs, in the 1960’s?

Amalgam fillings – mercury poisoning  16% of dentists still use what they call “silver” fillings. They aren’t silver, they are 50% mercury, which leeches into your body every day. Toxic effects include damage to the brain, kidneys, lungs and immune system. Higher doses cause death.

Billion dollar fines don’t count in a trillion dollar industry
From 2004 to 2008, Pfizer made sales of $245 billion. At the same time, Eli Lilly made $36 billion from just one drug (Zyprexa).  Seven billion in fines across many pharmaceutical companies doesn’t dent their profits enough to stop them killing; the FDA is their UK accomplice.

The FDA doesn’t try to help us.
If the FDA was even slightly doing their job, they would be trying to protect us by commenting on the herbicide Atrazine, which disrupts our hormones, causes birth defects, gives us breast and prostate cancer.

Or condemning the damage done by Monsanto’s Roundup glyphosate weedkiller. Nine million tons of it are in our fields, our foods, our water supply and in 90% of humans. It causes over 30 diseases from autism to cancer.  But they are big corporations, whose profits the FDA protects.

Meanwhile the FDA are happy to side with those who ban safe things that work for us like melatonin, a natural hormone, or Gaba, which quietens our neurotransmitters, both of which help us sleep. They are trying to shut down the Russian scenar – developed by their space program to treat astronauts; – it talks, electronically, to the frequencies of our body, and is superb at healing a host of medical conditions, including muscular and wound healing issues without side effects.

1,000,000 die

The FDA states that licensed medicines are the number 4 killer of mankind, and that 100,000 Americans die every year as a result of drugs they license.

But that excludes deaths from chemotherapy poisons, which are counted, wrongly, as cancer deaths.

800,000 people die unnecessarily of cancer every year in the USA. Half of those don’t die of the cancer: They die of the poison of licensed chemotherapy drugs. So there’s another 400,000.

So the FDA probably kill 500,000 Americans a year with licensed drugs they approve.

In the USA the FDA is being prosecuted for causing 3 million deaths, half from licensed medicines, half from denying people access to modern science.

Using the same calculations, if we double the 500,000, because the FDA also denies people access to modern science, we get an estimate of 1,000,000 deaths a year caused by the FDA, which is probably of the right order.
.

Looking at it from a slightly different perspective,

800,000 a year die of cancer in the USA.
If the FDA were to ban the 100 year old poison of chemotherapy (which started life out as World War One mustard gas), and encourage modern science, 80% of those with cancer would be saved (see www.chemokills.info for a list of treatments that work.) That would be 640,000 saved.

And healthcare would save about £50 billion in drug costs. Its those drug costs that the FDA directors are keeping in place on behalf of their former employers.

Add the 100,000 that die in the UK from other killer drugs, and we come to 740,000.

Add people with other diseases who would be saved by modern treatments that are banned, concealed or denied by the MHRA, and you are probably approaching the 1,000,000 deaths annually caused by the MHRA.

So again, 1,000,000 does seem to be of the right order.

GMP kills

Big Pharma crushes competition with GMP
Why does it take ten years for a cure to reach the public?

Using their billion dollar lobby, in the 1970’s Big Pharmaceutical corporations got western governments to force GMP on us, to “make drugs safer,” but actually to block out competition.

GMP, “Good Manufacturing Practice” is often dangerous.  Its can cost tens of millions and a decade to achieve GMP, so small firms with effective, inexpensive treatments have no chance.

GMP often forces companies to build products artificially in the E.Coli bacteria, rather than use the natural source. Or to plug amino acids together by hand to build a peptide. That’s a part protein, never seen in the human body before, so testing can easily be scores of millions, when the natural source was quite safe.

Then it’ll take more scores of millions to get it approved.

At some stage the small company will have to persuade a big pharmaceutical to take over, because there is no way they can afford it themselves.

The big pharmaceutical with then either make the profits, or more likely, not make it available to the public, as there are far more profitable drugs, that don’t work as well, or do nothing. And the last thing a pharmaceutical wants to do is to reduce future profits by curing people.

These are the pointless, destructive, massively expensive and dangerous steps government forces small companies to go through, by using GMP to protect Big Pharma’s monopolies.

That’s why cures can take decades to reach the public, or, more often, never see the light of day.

By denying the public quick access to effective, safe treatments, GMP has killed millions of people since 1978.
